Sadness as soprano sings her last with Bognor choir

A LOYAL member of the choir at Bognor Regis' parish church has sung her goodbye.

Natalie Miller’s fond farewell to the congregation at St Wilfrid’s Church was the Pie Jesu from Faure’s Requiem.

It was the last time she would sing in the church where she had been in its choir for most of her life – 22 years – from the age of seven.

Lawrence Wood, the church’s press officer, said: “Natalie has been the mainstay of the sopranos for many years and she will be sorely missed.”

Natalie was presented with gifts and flowers by Father Andrew Wadsworth, the church’s vicar, at her last Eucharist there.

He thanked her for her contribution to the church over so many years.

He also wished her and her husband well as they move to Lancaster in north-west England.

She is pictured with her fellow choir members after singing in her final service at St Wilfrid’s.
