Safe Sex Over Christmas

Sexual health services in Hastings and Rother are warning people to practice safe sex over the festive period and avoid putting themselves at risk of a sexually transmitted infection or an unwanted pregnancy.

Becky Mahlunge, Sexual Health Services Manager for Hastings and Rother PCT said: "Traditionally, we see a rise in the number of people attending our clinics immediately after Christmas as the party atmosphere and increased alcohol consumption leads people to take extra risks.

"Some of these infections could really put a damper on your celebrations, together with more long-term effects to your health and fertility."
