Safety award for water company
SOUTHERN Water will receive a top health and safety award again this year.
The Rospa (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) President’s Award is only given to companies which have demonstrated outstanding health and safety performance for more than a decade. Southern Water has done this for the past 14 years.
Head of Health and Safety John Corden said: “To have received this award for the fourteenth year running shows our continued commitment to health and safety and also to the efforts all Southern Water staff have made to look after themselves and each other throughout 2012.
“Credit must also go to some of our major contractors who have helped us maintain our excellent record.”
John will pick up the award at a ceremony in Birmingham in May.
