Safety message promoted to visitors at Bognor Rox

A 'think safe, drink safe' message was promoted to hundreds of Rox-goers in Bognor Regis last weekend.

Community safety workers from Arun and West Sussex councils attended the popular event on Saturday to provide facts about alcohol and how people can stay safe when drinking.

They handed out more than 400 colourful wristbands advertising the services of the Arun community alcohol liaison team in just five-and-a-half hours.

Georgina Holland, Arun's community safety manager, said: "Encouraging people to think about what they drink was our main aim.

"The amount of alcohol that can have a negative impact on health is much smaller than the majority of the public realise."
