Safety zone installed at Bartons Infant School in North Bersted

A safety zone is being installed at a North Bersted school.

The 9,900 scheme is designed to improve safety on the roads outside Bartons Infant School on Romney Broadwalk.

This will be done by erecting new signs which will have orange flashing lights, to be activated at the start and end of the school day, and an advisory 20mph speed limit.

Red anti-skid surfacing will also be put down to make drivers aware they are approaching a school.

Work is taking place between 7am and 7pm and should be finished today (Friday, August 21).
