Silhouette Hair Salon owner Suzie Coppard, with employees Shelby Turnbull and Samantha Cane, raised almost £1,200 for Worthing Churches Homeless Projects.

Suzie said: “We are all really passionate about helping the local homeless community and feel very privileged to have roofs over our heads and jobs. We wanted to find a way we could help and we did so by taking part in the charity’s annual Littlehampton Sleepout.”

The charity runs a breakfast club at Littlehampton United Church, in High Street, Littlehampton. This provides a hot meal and vital lifeline to many and a member of staff is available to provide advice and help find accommodation, if needed.

Abi Harley, community fundraiser, said: “We were thrilled by the group’s effort to raise such a large amount of money for our charity.

“We really could not continue to do the essential work we do in the local area without people like Suzie, Shelby and Samantha raising awareness and sponsorship.

“All the participants that took part in the event have made such a profound effort to spend the night in the cold and wind to help raise awareness and funds for Worthing Churches Homeless Projects. The event has raised almost £5,000 overall.”
