I am sure we have all noticed that the village clock stopped at midnight on January 1.

The decision to stop the clock followed a survey undertaken for the parish council. The engineer found that the clock is basically in a reasonable condition, but it has a high amount of dust and has had a lack of regular servicing over the years.

The aim is to try and get the clock running as soon as possible. More on this in time I hope.

Matthew Cope has become the new parish councillor and will be joining the parish council at the February meeting.

The meeting of the book club is on February 19 and will be discussing the Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Bargery.
