SASBAH Cheque Presentation at Bexhill High School

Bexhill High School this week presented a cheque for £1000 to the Sussex Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (SASBAH).

Bexhill High adopted SASBAH as its charity for the year and despite the current recession and the financial difficulties that students and families face in the local community they have risen to the challenge, and raised this substantial amount in just a few months.

The money has been raised in a number of ways including; penny races, cake sales and Christmas parties.

The cheque was presented during assembly and it was explained how much difference 1000 can make; including residential holidays for service users, specially adapted wheelchairs, activity days out and visits to the specialist centre at Chailey Heritage.

The staff and students of Bexhill High are continuing to plan fundraising in the future.
