Satellite navigation systems were highlighted as one of the most attractive Christmas presents for thieves.

Michelle Cowell, Sussex Police's crime reduction officer for the Arun district, said: 'This will be the second year the campaign has been run.

'I am happy to report that last year there was a positive reaction from the public and a reduction in thefts.'
