Saturday 3pm - and campaigners hold hospital vigil

THERE is currently a massive vigil being held outside the Conquest Hospital.

The vigil is running fro m 12 noon to midnight today, saturday, opposing any hospital closures.

We were there at the beginning - and VIPs included the Mayors of Hastings, Battle, Rye and Bexhill.

Hastings Mayor, councillor Maureen Charlesworth, said the cuts are entirely the fault of the Labour government.

Bexhill MP Greg Barker was among the speakers. he also blamed the government.
