Saving lives at Bexhill High

BEXHILL High School teamed up with 1066 Life Aid charity to provide an opportunity to learn how to save lives.

The charity staged a two-day event across Hastings and Rother encouraging people to take part in the training, including at the new school in Gunters Lane.

They trained people in simple cardio-pulmonary resuscitation skills that can save lives while at the same time raising money for local charities.

Those who did the training were invited to make a £2 donation.

Members of the charity had earlier trained Bexhill High pupils who then helped with the training on Sunday.

Mick Davies from 1066 Life Aid said: “The pupils gained a lot of experience in dealing with the public and they were a credit to the school. “All those attending were full of praise for the event and gave the pupils a well earned round of applause.

“Of all the schools we dealt with, the staff at Bexhill High were the most helpful and professional in all ways.”
