CARE: CARE is a registered charity operating locally which tries to help those in our community who are unable to get out of their homes to go shopping, visit doctors' surgeries, hospitals, dentists, etc.

They are looking for more volunteers who could be involved in their rewarding work. Volunteers can offer as much or as little time as suits them. Even one hour a week would be helpful.

Scaynes Hill Village Club: Scaynes Hill Village Club is a small and friendly club located down Church Road, opposite the common. It is a members club, with membership only costing £18.00 a year; that’s just £1.50 per month! New members are always welcome as are guests. We have a lot of exciting events coming up in the next few weeks:-

Sunday 6 March: Bingo Night 7.45pm; Saturday 19 March Live Rock Band 8.30pm; Sunday 20 March Bingo (Special Meat Bingo) 7.45pm; Saturday 26 March Easter Turkey Roast. Eat as much as you can for just £7.50 per person and £3.00 for under 14’s; Sunday 27 March Easter Egg Hunt 2.00pm; Sunday 3 April Bingo 7.45pm; Saturday 9 April Quiz Night in Aid of Male Cancers; Saturday 16 April Karaoke Night.

WI: If you have ever wondered about the WI but always thought it may not be for you ... Think again! They are a friendly group of ladies from all ages and backgrounds who all have different interests and abilities. Some of them even make jam!!! They would love to welcome you to join them. You don’t have to join straight away but can go to at least two meetings to see if it’s for you before you decide whether or not to join. They meet at 2.00pm every second Wednesday of the month and every fourth Wednesday for a craft afternoon where all abilities are very welcome to an informal few hours and a cup of tea, a chat and some craft.
