SCHOOL DATE FOR COUNCIL CABINET

Lewes District Council wants to encourage young people to become aware of and engage with local decision making.

As part of Local Democracy Week, which runs from October 17 to 23, the council is taking steps to bring councillors and young residents closer together.

Lewes District Council will be holding a meeting of its Cabinet on Wednesday, October 19, at Priory School in Lewes. The Cabinet meeting has been arranged to take place within the school timetable. It will be held in the School Hall and will start at 11am.

It will be open to students, school staff, the School Council and members of the public. This will be an actual meeting (not a mock session), with decisions being taken that will affect the lives of those living and working in the district, including students from the school.
