School hosts Playden Games

ST MICHAEL’S CE Primary School at Playden has chosen an Olympic theme for its Summer Fair on Saturday.

The ‘Playden Games’ takes place at the school from noon - 3pm and has a definite sporty theme to it.

There will be an opening ceremony at 11.50am performed by the children.

Then you can join in the fun with penalty shoot out, child’s sumo wrestling, gladiator jousting, tin can alley, boxing, javelin, assault course, golf, ten pin bowling, basketball and netball.

There is also be a raffle with some fantastic top prizes, a barbecue and refreshments, cake stall, tombola, face painting and a toy and book jumble plus lots more.

There will also be displays in the arena of karate, dancing and a balloon race at 3pm for the closing ceremony.

PC Dan Bevan will also be on-site during the day carrying out bicycle security marking so bring along your bicycles.

The event is free to attend.
