East Sussex County Council has set up a Scrutiny Board to review the process involved in selecting a preferred bidder to take over the site of the former St Anne’s school in Lewes for the purpose of providing an asset for the community.
The board is holding a scrutiny session in public on October 15 at 9am in County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes to consider the existing evidence and potential further evidence from interested parties.
It is not a review of the decision, only into the process the county council followed.
It will not be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions.
The board will want to hear evidence about factors including the advice given to bidders, and the level of community benefit.
