FUNDRAISING NIGHT: On Friday March 3 at 7.30pm for Seaford Community Cinema and The Barn Theatre by showing a special screening of Cage cert 15 by Seaford based writer/director Warren Dudley. The joint venture is to raise funds for a new kitchen. Tickets £10 to include free drink and canapes are available from Seaford Tourist Information Centre, 37 Church Street.

TICKETS: Are now on sale for the first of this year’s series of East Blatchington Lecture’s. It will be given on Tuesday March 7 when the speaker the Rev Chris Collison will talk about the men who work on the sea, their triumphs and their perils. He has called it Seamen and Flying Angels.

As usual, the Lecture will be at St Peter’s Church, Belgrave Road starting 2.30pm open to everyone. Tickets are £7 which includes refreshments and available in advance from Newberry Tully Estate Agent, Church Street. Tickets can be purchased on the door but it is wise to buy in advance to save disappointment. These East Blatchington Lecture’s have proved a very popular series. They started over 10 years ago and it is estimated that so far they have raised over £12,000 for the church.

STAMP AND POSTCARD CLUB: Seaford Stamp and Postcard Club are meeting at their new venue the Constitutional Club, Crouch Lane on Wednesday March 8, 7pm for 7.30pm for their AGM and Club Competition Night. FAIR TRADE MARKET: Seaford Fair Trade Market 2017 will be held on Saturday March 18 at the Clinton Centre, Clinton Place, starting 10am to 1.30pm. Admission is 50p, (free entry for children if accompanied by an adult) includes Fairtrade coffee, tea, soft drink and tasty bites. The stalls are Fairtade clothing, crafts, food products etc. There will be a Children’s Corner with face painting and a Fairtrade Raffle.

FITNESS LEAGUE: With Margaret. Tone and stretch, strengthen and mobilise ready for spring. Fun, achievable, non competitive, low impact exercises to music which are suitable for both men and women.
