STAMP AND POSTCARD CLUB: Seaford Stamp and Postcard Club are holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday at their new venue Constitutional Club, Crouch Lane. Arrive 7pm for 7.30pm start. LUNCHTIME CONCERT: On Saturday February 18 at 1pm starts the 10th year of lunchtime concerts at St Leonard’s Church, Church Street which will be given by Ellie Blackshaw, violin/viola and Julian Broughton piano. After a formal musical training at The Royal College of Music in the 1980’s, Ellie Blackshaw has consistently been in demand as chamber musician playing wide variety of repertoire, old to contemporary, as violinist and violist in and around Brighton and London. Julian Broughton is a composer and pianist. His compositions include symphony in E and a sonata for violin and piano. The programme will include: Vaughan William’s Lark Ascending, sonata for violin and piano by Julian Broughton, Elgar’s Chanson de Nuit and Chanson de Matin. Concert lasts approximately an hour has free admission with a retiring collection.
