Seaford Church helps people to beat the financial blues

If you are suffering the January financial blues, a Seaford church is offering to help put your money matters back in order.

The third Monday of January is known as ‘Blue Monday’ due to the combination of post-Christmas blues, cold dark nights and unpaid credit card bills.

This makes it the ideal time for Seaford Baptist Chuch to run a free CAP Money Course.

Courses are confidential and comprise three hours spread over three weeks, helping people to create a household budget, prioritise spending, begin saving and reorganise their banking.

It is being run following training from the debt charity Christians Against Poverty.

CAP Money coach Fran Allen said: “We are putting on this course because we know how financial worry can mess up relationships and caused havoc with health and wellbeing. The CAP Money Course is there to debt-proof families against this kind of stress and with something like a third of us having relied on credit to get us through Christmas, it might be the best resolution we can make going into 2013.”

To book call Seaford Baptist Church office on 01323 896009 or email Fran or Bill Allen on

Courses are planned for Saturday mornings.
