Seaford Head School thrilled with another amazing set of GSCE results

STAFF and students at Seaford Head School are delighted with yet another amazing set of GCSE results.

More than 85 per cent of students achieved five or more GCSE graces A*-C, and of these 65 per cent achieved five or more GCSE grades A*-C including English Language and maths.

Atotal of 96 per cent of students achieved at least 1 A*-C grade

Outstanding results were achieved by many individual students but particular congratulations must go to those who were awarded 10 A*-A grades; Alice Caldecott, Ami Crowther and Jaikishan Rajput.

In addition six Year 11 students achieved an AS grade in geography and 11 in AS drama.

From other year groups Harrison Eden, in Year 8, achieved a grade A in GCSE Spanish and Mateus Placido, in Year 9, achieved an A* in GCSE Portuguese.

Exceptional results were achieved in chemistry with 100 per cent of students gaining an A*-C.

In other popular subjects; Biology, Physics, Business Communication, PE and Media Studies more than 90 per cent of students achieved an A*-C grade.

Chair of governors Trevor Perks said: “These results are an absolutely outstanding achievement for Seaford Head students and is an excellent start to our new academy status.”

Head teacher Lynton Golds said: “I am absolutely delighted. With the hard work of their staff and support from their parents, the students have achieved excellent results.”
