Seaford Martello Rotary Club wants participants for sponsored walk

SEAFORD Martello Rotary Club are appealing for people to take part in its sponsored walk on Sunday May 6.

The walk starts at Seaford’s Martello Tower, continues over Seaford Head, down into the Cuckmere Valley, over the Seven Sisters to Birling Gap and finally over Beachy Head, ending at the Martello Tower Eastbourne.

Walkers will be raising money for Cancer Research UK and will cover a total distance of 12.7 miles, through some of the most spectacular scenery in Sussex.

Club spokesperson Clive Rimmell said: “This is a truly challenging walk that will test the endurance of all taking part.”

The entry fee is £12, which includes a T-shirt, drinking water and transport back to Seaford.
