Seaford: Threat to history talks

Dwindling attendance numbers are threatening local history talks in Seaford.

HISTORY talks in Seaford may have to be scrapped if the dwindling audience figures do not improve.

Seaford Museum organises regular presentations but the last two years has seen andecline in the number of people attending.

We will have to consider cancelling if people aren t going to go, said spokesman Mick Barrett.

Several of this year s meetings have been run at a loss, after the speaker has been paid and the hall rented.

Said Mick: It s rather sad that people don t take advantage of these things. We put them on for people s enjoyment, but there seems to be a certain amount of apathy.
