Seagull attacks

A HITCHCOCK-TYPE bird attack thunder-struck an elderly jogger, as Worthing s seagulls got over-protective.

Shocked runner Alec Cross, 71, of West Parade, Worthing, will be wearing hats for a while, after an aggressive seagull struck his head.

Despite attempts to scare the aerial attackers off, another gull harassed him just minutes after the first assault.

Mr Cross decided to swap his sweat band for a hat in future because he did not know whether his balding head provoked them.

The attacks happened on Thursday, while Mr Cross was doing his morning run along Alinora Crescent, Goring.
