Seagull rescued from Worthing rooftop

A SEAGULL caused a commotion in the town centre earlier this afternoon after it got caught up in netting.

The unfortunate bird was rescued from the roof of the Lloyd’s Bank, in South Street, by firefighters at 1pm.

An aerial platform was used to reach the seagull and firemen brought it safely back down to the ground.

The rescue effort took around 40 minutes.
