SEAHAVEN Lioness Club raised around £1,000 by organising a charity golf day at Seaford Head Golf Club.

This year’s tournament was supporting the Sussex Air Ambulance.

Money was collected through entrance fees and the raffle, which the golfers always support very generously

While the event took place on Friday July 13 it didn’t prove too unlucky a choice because the weather was mostly fine, though the blustery conditions were quite challenging for the golfers.

In addition to a round of golf, with prizes and trophies in various categories, the players had coffee on arrival and a buffet lunch in the club house afterwards.

Golfers also enjoyed drinks and homemade cakes at the 12th tee.

At the end of the day Lioness President Audrey Clarke and Seaford Head Golf Club Captain Alan Pye presented the prizes and trophies to the winners.

The Lionesses thanked Len Fisher of Seaford Head Golf Club, without whose expertise and support the event would not have been possible.

Thanks also went go to David Jordan Estate Agents, Prestige Promotions of Newhaven and Wave Leisure for sponsorship and to the following for donation of raffle prizes: Deans Place, Alfriston, Coopers Funeral Directors, Intersport, Tony Osborne Financial Services and The Old Boot.
