Search for ‘kind strangers’ after man found dead in Brighton flat

An appeal has been launched to find the kind strangers who helped a man get home after a Brighton night out.

Joseph Downes was found dead in his flat in the city on June 25 this year, police say.

The 32-year-old had been out the night before and it is believed he was helped home to his address in Montpelier Street at about 1.30am.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, but officers would like to trace the people who took him home to help shed some light on his movements that night.

Anyone who has information is asked to report online or call 101 quoting serial 330 of 25/06.
