Search party launched after kayak seen empty off East Wittering
An empty kayak spotted off the shore of East Wittering prompted a search by lifeboat volunteers on Sunday evening.
Selsey RNLI searched the coast westwards from Selsey after a report of an unoccupied kayak found floating about a mile from Shore Road at around 7pm.
After two hours of checks, the teams heard of a report of a lost kayak matching the description of the one found and all units were stood down.
