Mr Davies, who worked at Morrisons, in Wick, was killed when the fire engulfed the front of his flat at 12.47am on September 12, last year.

The investigation was passed to Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team when investigators from West Sussex Fire and Rescue discovered the blaze had been started deliberately using white spirit.

Yesterday afternoon police rebailed a 29-year-old man from Bognor Regis, until May 8, while investigations continue.

A post-mortem examination showed Mr Davies died from the effects of breathing in smoke.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting Operation Annexe.
