CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE: This Sunday December 11 at 3pm Sedlescombe United Reform Church , Chapel Hill will be holding a Christmas Carol Service led by Rev Andrew Birch in attendance will be the music group 'Feed the Soul'. SEDLESCOMBE SENIORS CHRISTMAS PARTY: This year’s Christmas Party for senior citizens of Sedlescombe will be held on Friday December 16 in the village hall. Tickets are £5 per person and are limited to 60 guests. Phone Pauline or Reg on 870258 to reserve yours before they run out. If you require transport, let them know at the same time.

EVENING OUT ? A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: Come and shake off the winter blues when Loose Ends Untied will be performing at the village hall on the evening of Friday January 27 2017. The two Phil’s, Frank and Mark will be playing some classic melodies from the 20th century in their own unique style, to listen or dance to, the choice is yours. Tickets are £15 to include a delicious supper and a licensed bar will be available throughout the evening. Organised by the Friends of Sedlescombe Church Heritage Trust to get this year off to a flying start!

StT JOHNS EVENTS UPDATE: A message from Margaret “Thank you to everyone for their help and support at recent activities. The total raised at last weeks Advent Fair was over £1600, a really wonderful result. Our monthly coffee morning on Thursday swelled the funds by £164, it was so good to see our regular supporters we even had some visitors from Canterbury, The market will be resume on February 2 2017. please make this a date in your new diary.

The Christingle service last Sunday was well attended with lots of families coming along on a beautiful winters morning.”

CAROL SERVICE: The annual carol service at St Johns Parish Church will be on Sunday December 18 at 6pm, this will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies. Everyone, as always, is very welcome. It’s a busy time now leading up to Christmas day, there will be more news on happenings next week
