ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH: This Sunday November 6 the church have their monthly family service at 10.30am when the children will help with the readings and prayers, there is no communion. You are then welcome to stay for coffee and a chat following the service.

SEDLESCOMBE AND DISTRICT FLOWER CLUB: The Sedlescombe and district flower club have their - dare I say it - Christmas demonstration on this Wednesday November 9 when Patricia Ellis, a NAFAS demonstrator will be interpreting the title “Anticipation”, the imagination can do wonderful things and designs! Doors will open at the village hall at 7pm, you will be made very welcome , why not bring a friend and have a evening out together? Tickets are only £5 to include seasonal drinks and nibbles on arrival with time to start the evening off meeting friends and making new ones. There will also be the chance to win one of the wonderful arrangements and a general raffle as well plus the opportunity of stocking up your floral accessories including oasis etc. at really keen prices. FRIENDS OF SEDLESCOMBE CHURCH: Members, You are cordially invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of The Friends of Sedlescombe Parish Church Heritage Trust on Monday November 14 at 6.30p.m. at Asselton House, The Green , Sedlescombe. Refreshments will be available and there will be time following the meeting to socialise and meet your fellow members. We look forward to seeing you.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY The Royal British Legion invite you to attend the Remembrance Service to be held in St John the Baptist Church on Sunday November 13. The service will start at 10.45 with a 2 minute silence at 11.00am.

ADVENT FAIR: The annual church Advent fair will be on Saturday November 26 in the village hall at 12noon. Please mark your diaries. More details to follow next few week.

ST MICHAELS HOSPICE OPEN GARDENS: Throughout the season I have been giving details of the open gardens and thought you would like to know that the total raised from 2016 was £27,000, which was a magnificent sum. Planning is already underway for gardens to be open in 2017!
