SEDLESCOMBE GREEN WI: The first meeting of Sedlescombe Green WI for 2016 will be on Wednesday January 27 at 7.30pm in the village hall. This will the Birthday meeting so it is party night when invited guests from other WI's in the group us join in the occasion. As always visitors and members are always very welcome. There is a varied and interesting programme for 2016, which will be posted on the village notice board soon. For further details please contact Rosemary on 870533.

VILLAGE DIARY: There is a new village diary for 2016. No, not one you can buy but one where you can enter the dates of your events to avoid a clash with other groups and organisations around the village. It would be appreciated if dates were updated as and when. The diary is just inside the door at the Village stores.

ST JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH CHURCH: A new venture for Sedlescombe and Whatlington churches, this will be a United Benefice (churches together) service to be held at Whatlington Church on Sunday January 31 at 10.30a.m, there will be no service at Sedlescombe on that day. This will happen when there are five Sundays in the month, the next one being Sunday May 29 which will be at Sedlescombe when we will welcome Whatlington church members to the service.

There will be the usual 10.30am Sunday services take place on the other dates in the month at Sedlescombe church which you are always welcome to attend.

SEDLESCOMBE LADIES FACEBOOK PAGE: Anne Stanley writes: “Hello, I’ve recently set up a Sedlescombe Ladies facebook page. The idea is to encourage local ladies to meet for coffee, craft nights, book club, country walks, keep fit, cookery classes, lunch etc.” https://www.facebook.com/groups/992348524158197

SEDLESCOMBE AND DISTRICT FLOWER CLUB: The next date for the club is Wednesday February 10 at 7.30pm in the village hall when Heather Goodsell will be visiting the village to give a talk on Medieval times.
