SEDLESCOMBE: Just two more weeks to go until the big day! The village is looking very festive with all the decorations and lights on Sedlescombe Stores, The Brickwall Hotel, The Clockhouse Studio and the Queens Head and in the daytime the geese wandering across the Green.

ST JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH CHURCH: Dates and times for this years Christmas week services. On Sunday December 20 it is the Annual Carol service at 6pm followed by mulled wine and mince pies. On Thursday December 24 the crib service will be at 4pm with Midnight mass starting at 11pm. On Christmas day December 25 there will be Christmas communion at 10.30am.

These services are in addition to the normal Sunday Eucharist held every week at 10.30am

SENIORS CHRISTMAS PARTY: The Seniors party this year is on Friday December 18 in the village hall at 5pm. This event is open to all villagers over the 60 so if you have reached that magic age, you are invited to come and share in the seasonal buffet, drinks and entertainment. If you would like to be included, there are just a few tickets left at just £4 per person for this festive celebration, get yours now from Sedlescombe stores or the Clockhouse.

MINI MARKET AND COFFEE MORNING: Thanks to all those who went along to the coffee morning/ mini market last Thursday, December 3, this helped to raise £129 for church funds Margaret writes to thank you for your support through out the past year and looks forward to welcoming you in 2016 when the first coffee morning in that year will be on February 4 at the usual time of 10am to 11.30am in the village hall. All are welcome at this friendly event so do try to make space in your diary to go along. A Happy Christmas and good wishes for the New Year to you.
