MINI MARKET: On Thursday November 5, the mini market will be in Sedlescombe village hall from 10.00am to 11.30am. There will be the usual stalls plants, cakes bric-a-brac, lots of books and puzzles plus a chance to check your weight, in confidence of course on Dorothy’s scales, for 50p. Tea, coffee and scones, cheese or fruit for just a £1. Do go along and join in this friendly get together. For any further details please use contact number 870808.

FRIENDS OF SEDLESCOMBE CHURCH: The AGM of the Heritage Trust will be on Monday November 9 at 7pm at Asselton House, The Green, Sedlescombe. If you would like to find out more about the Trust and meet some of the members then you will be very welcome to share in the refreshments after the short meeting.

QUIZ NIGHT: Battle and Villages Lions Club are searching for quizzers to join in at their Children in Need Quiz on Friday November 13 at Ninfield Memorial Hall. Tickets are £6.50 per person which includes a tasty ploughman’s supper. All proceeds go direct to Children in Need. QUILT SHOW: I know many of you are interested in the events run in support of St Michaels Hospice and here is one close to home at Sedlescombe village hall on Saturday November 21 and Sunday November 22 to mark in your diary .Enjoy a beautiful selection of quilts at the Quilt Show. There will also be a raffle, tombola, sales table and refreshments. Entry is only £1 and accompanied children are free. All proceeds to the Hospice.
