EARLY CHILDREN PESTALOZZI PROJECT: I had a call recently from Len Clarke who co -runs the Early Children Pestalozzi project with William Eiduks, asking if I knew any information regarding “Michael Drury”. Len had seen his photo on the Sedlescombe website and was hoping to make contact with him as they were at the village together in the 1960’s. Does this name mean anything to you? The Project, the pair have undertaken aims to recover the European and early Tibetan children’s story, as far as possible, through oral history recordings and other related research. They hope to provide a legacy for the former children of “the Village” and for their descendants. In the gathering of this story, they will not only demonstrate what a remarkable experience it was but also constructively present this information for the benefit of other relevant research. If you would like to find out a bit about what Pestalozzi was like in the early days please visit their website www.earlypestalozzichildren.org.uk. Or if you have memories yourself and would like to contribute them to the project then you can contact Len on 077566 44861 or William on 078679 86654.
