HARVEST FESTIVAL: St John the Baptist church will holding their Harvest festival on Sunday September 27. Parish Eucharist will be at 10.30am with Evensong at 6pm followed by Harvest supper to which everyone is very welcome to partake in. I always think this traditional village event not just celebrates the bringing in of the crop harvest as in days gone by but gives the opportunity to give thanks for the crop of friends and family that we harvest and learn from throughout our lives.

CREAM TEAS THANKS: A belated thank you to everyone who braved the inclement weather to attend the cream tea afternoon, the other week at the Rectory. It was a happy event and raised £190 for church funds
