SEDLESCOMBE AND DISTRICT FLOWER CLUB: Last month the club dined at Powdermills Hotel for their annual lunch, this month it is back to the village hall on Wednesday September 9 to welcome Christine Brazier, a visiting floral demonstrator interpreting “Keep the home fires burning”. I see lots of reds and a flurry of colour sweeping through the designs. Will I be right or wrong? Visitors are always welcome at this friendly club so if you are interested in flowers then why not give it a go? Doors open at 7pm ready for the 7.30pm start of the demonstration. There will time during the evening for refreshments and socialising along with the usual opportunity to purchase floral accessories at keen prices and of course the flower raffle, you may just be going home with a beautiful display for your home.
