ARMISTICE DAY: Tuesday November 11 at 11am, a two minute silence will be observed in many places across the United Kingdom and the world. This year being 100 years from the start of the first World War will be even more poignant and if you have had the opportunity to view the art installation at the Tower of London of 888,246 ceramic poppies you cannot help but be moved by the sacrifice that was made by so many at that time. The work of the British Legion continues on though, as many conflicts have since ensued from that first armistice day in 1918 so please remember to buy your poppy, in remembrance of the fallen and to show your support of the good work that the British Legion do for all our armed forces.
