The Pre School group would like to thank the Village for the wonderful donations of toys, books and musical instruments that the children have received. They are so grateful to everyone who donated. They are very pleased to report that both the Pre School and Playgroup are so well attended that they are now in the need of local volunteers to help them run the busy sessions. They will of course provide all training, support and security checks. They would be pleased to welcome anyone who can spare a couple of hours a month or more to assist with arts and crafts, singing, cooking, nature walks etc. Volunteering can be extremely rewarding for you and the children. .

The Pre School recently enjoyed a wonderful fundraiser in the Queens Head, supported by the Landlord, James. They have started a Pudding Club in Sedlescombe and enjoyed an evening of great company, wine, pudding related trivia and of course a menu that consisted of desserts only. The guests scored each pudding for taste, presentation and “wow” factor and the winner was a pudding called “The Queens Head Cup”, which was a mini chocolate bomb and incredibly delicious. Once their waist lines have recovered they will be organising another event so do please get in touch if you would like to join in, definitely a stretchy dress evening out. Please contact the Pre School regarding any of the above or if you would like to get involved, there is always a lot going on . E-mail [email protected]
