What a great day Saturday turned out to be with the Fayre on the green, this time in lovely weather with 1066 pipes and drums, who gave their services free, setting the scene for the afternoon. The fayre was opened at 1pm by Mrs Ham and later in the day the children danced the traditional maypole or in this case June pole. Many stalls and village groups took part and a real community fun day was had by all that attended. I’m sure the organisers would like to say Thank You to the Queens Head for the use of their garden and facilities, The Brickwall Hotel for providing power for the tea tent and the Clockhouse for providing extra stall space. The biggest Thank you has to go to all the many helpers that gave their time before, during and after the event. If you have any photos from the day that you would like to share please contact Bob on 871415.
