Don’t forget this Saturday October 27, the Friends of Sedlescombe Church Heritage Trust will be holding their annual jumble sale at Sedlescombe village hall from 2pm to 4pm. Come along and grab a bargain, you never know what you may find and that you didn’t realise that you needed. If you have unwanted items there is still time to donate, clothes, books, bric a brac, anything that could be sold to help the Heritage Trust will be very welcome. Please bring your goods to the village hall on the morning of the sale at the village hall. For any further information please contact 870722 or 870344.

The next monthly Coffee Morning and Mini-Market, sponsored by the Parish Church, takes place in the Village Hall on Thursday 1 November at 10.00 to 11.30a.m. As well as coffee and cake, there will be stalls selling cakes, jams etc, bric-a -brac, books, plants and bird food, a raffle and, for 50p, a chance to be weighed, accurately and in confidence. A warm welcome awaits you.

On Saturday November 3 ,the Hastings and Rother branch of the National Childbirth Trust are having a nearly new sale of quality children’s clothes and equipment at Vinehall School nr RobertsbridgeTN32 5JL from 2.30 to 4pm Members can gain early entry at 2pm. Advance notice regarding Sedlescombe and District Flower Club , they have an Open evening on Wednesday November 14 at the village hall featuring Julie Brownlea demonstrating under the theme “ It’s Christmas again”. Welcome seasonal nibbles and drinks will be served from 6.30 to 7.30pm prior to the demonstration. This will be a ticketed event and if you would like to reserve tickets priced £6.50 for you and friends then please contact Norma on 01797 223923.

The AGM of the Sedlescombe Societies’ Association will take place next Friday November 2 at 7.30m in Committee room 2 at the village hall. Please do try and come along to show your appreciation for their voluntary work undertaken for the enjoyment of all.

The village fayre date for 2013 is July 27 however the committee is in need of a new secretary and committee members to help make this happen. Could you bring your skills to the Association for the benefit of the village?
