Sedlescombe village voice

This Saturday September 22 , there is to be a public exhibition in Sedlescombe village hall from 10am to 5pm regarding development scheme proposals for land in Brede Lane owed by the Keeling family.

The initial details are that it is hoped to use the land to deliver an expansion of the facilities at Sedlescombe Primary school, to provide a new access , more parking, teaching facilities , sports facilities and a purpose built nursery. This will not involve an increase in overall pupil numbers. In order to fulfil this plan though it is also proposed that 50 homes should be built on the land to provide the funding. Armstrong rigg planning who are organising the exhibition would welcome your attendance and invite you to go along and give your views on the proposed scheme. This type of development would obviously bring significant change for the village, so please make some time this Saturday to attend. If you are not able to but would like to put your views forward then please contact Geoff Armstrong at [email protected]

There are always lots of meetings taking place around the village for various groups and societies, with people giving their time freely to ensure the village stays alive and vibrant with interests and events. Please don’t be afraid to go along and see what they are all about, new ideas are always welcome along with your support.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the harvest supper at the village hall on the evening of Saturday September 29. Everyone is welcome to attend and is usually a very entertaining social evening. Tickets are now on sale at the village stores and from church members priced £8 each.
