Sedlescombe village voice - March 23

Lent hunger lunches continue today, Friday March 23 from 12noon to 1.30pm at 2 Forge Cottages, The Green. You are invited to take part by enjoying a bowl or two of home made soup and crusty bread in warm friendly company for just £2.50. Proceeds raised from the next five weeks lunches will go to Sedlescombe church and Farm Africa.

You may have noticed that I had become a bit of an expert on Staplecross last week but hope you would know me better than that and looked more closely down the page to find our village voice under their heading. A simple mistake to make, I suppose they do both start with an “S”! Anyway I hope that you didn’t miss anything but just in case I have included those items that are still to come in the village.

It’s the time of year to order lilies at £2 each in memory of loved ones to decorate our parish church at Eastertide. These can be ordered by phoning Sylvia 870688 or Margaret 870808. Those to be remembered will be displayed on the role of honour over Easter when the church will be open for tea, coffee and cake on Easter Sunday 10am – 4pm and Bank holiday Monday 10am -4pm. Please bring your family and friends to enjoy the beautiful flowers.
