Wealden police are looking for the owner of a ring handed to them recently.
Probably a man’s ring, it is silver in colour with the names of Ellie and Lilly engraved on the inside of the band.
It is unusual in the fact it has what appears to be a child’s fingerprint embossed in the metal around the outside.
It was handed in on December 2 at Holy Cross Church on the Bonfire Society Service day.
PC Codling, of Uckfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Although the value of this ring may not be significant, the sentimental value may be huge.
“This is why we would dearly like to reunite it with its owner.”
If you have any information regarding the owner please call Wealden police on 101.
