My Sisters’ House CIC launched the scheme with the help of a wellbeing and prevention grant from West Sussex County Council.

Julie Budge, founder of My Sisters’ House, a women’s centre for Arun and Chichester, said: “Low self-esteem is often at the root of difficulty in resolving day-to-day problems.

“Helping women feel better about themselves allows them to deal with these issues in a more confident and positive way.

“These courses have been run several times with amazing results for the women attending. They are all at a subsidised rate but nobody is turned away due to lack of finances.”

Workshops cost £5 for the day and the eight-week courses costs £2.50 per week.

Places are still available for the Bognor Regis workshops on January 30 and March 19, and the two eight-week courses starting February 24 and March 15.
