Lee Moore, of Pennycord Close, was arrested at 12.50am on June 30 after he was found at the wheel of a Ford C-Max in Oval Road, Selsey.

The 38-year-old was found to have 70 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of his breath, twice the drink-drive limit.

Police said Moore had already served a 12 month drink-driving ban imposed in 2006 and did not have a licence.

He pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence when he appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on July 16.

He was banned from driving for 46 months, fined £515 and ordered to pay £235 costs and a £52 victim surcharge.
