Two new Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between Sussex Police and Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) have been signed in the Wealden District.

District Commander, Chief Inspector Gary Pike, and Mike Kill, Chairman of Wadhurst NHW, met in Wadhurst on June 18, to officially agree the levels of service expected of both organisations.

Mike Kill, who signed the agreement on behalf of all Wealden NHWs, said: “The agreements reaffirm the strong relationships which exist at all levels between the police and Neighbourhood Watch in Wealden, and recognise and codify what is expected from each party. This can only help to make Wealden an even safer place to live.”

Ch Insp Pike said: “Neighbourhood Watch schemes across the district are a fantastic support to your local neighbourhood policing team. Together Mike and I signed these agreements at a District level to re-affirm the neighbourhood policing team’s commitment to our partnership with NHW.” Visit:
