If this is the year you plan to get fit, or simply enjoy a great social game out of doors, then make sure you turn up at the Victoria Pleasure Ground, Uckfield on Sunday, March 1 at about noon.
That’s when the first open day for the new tennis courts will be held.
The event aims to offer everyone an exciting opportunity to experience the brand new facilities first hand.
Activities on offer include mini tennis, touch tennis and a go with the new auto ball server, with prizes on offer for people who join in.
You can also find out how to become a Urban Tennis Foundation Tennis member for just £36 per household per year and talk to organisers about the high quality tennis coaching that will be available to all members. Open sessions go on until about 2pm and it’s made clear it doesn’t matter whether you are a county player or someone who has never tried to play tennis before - or somewhere in between.
