Seven men jailed over Julian Gardner death

SEVEN men have been jailed for a total of 45 years after being found guilty of a number of offences in connection with the death of Julian Gardner at his farm in Robertsbridge in October 2010.

The men were sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday (April 11) after the jury returned its verdicts on Tuesday.

The verdicts in full:

Marcus Bristow, 32, of Mock Lane, Great Chart, Ashford, Kent, has been found guilty of manslaughter, conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He was jailed for 11 years.

Terence Bristow, 42, of Chart Road, Great Chart, Ashford, Kent, has been found guilty of manslaughter, conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He was jailed for 11 years.

Lee Delay, 23, of Whitegate Close, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, has been found guilty of manslaughter, conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He was jailed for seven years.

Paul Dunn, 33, of Fryth Crescent, Cranbrook, Kent, has been found guilty of manslaughter, conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He was jailed for seven years.

Christopher Leek, 31, of Pear Tree Close, Cranbrook, Kent, has been found guilty of conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

The jury was discharged after failing to reach a verdict on the charge of manslaughter and the case has been order to lay on file. He was jailed for four-and-a-half years.

Oliver Payne, 25, of Sandhurst Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, has been found not guilty of manslaughter and guilty of conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He was jailed for three years.

Terrence Dunn, 57, of Tanyards Estate, Sandhurst, Kent, has been found guilty of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He was jailed for 18 months.
