Seven-year-old Northiam girl injured in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a one vehicle collision on the A28 in Northiam near the junction with Mill Terrace.

Officers were called at around 7.45am this morning (Tuesday, October 6) to a report a black Ford Fiesta had collided with a tree.

The driver, a 40-year-old woman from Northiam, did not suffer any injuries.

Her front passenger, a seven-year-old girl from Northiam, suffered a severe cut to her head and was taken to Conquest Hospital in Hastings.

PC Ian Richardson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard the collision. Witnesses can email [email protected] or by calling 101 and quoting reference CRS 5815 of 06/10.”
