A warning of severe weather has been issued for Sussex today (January 12), and its expected to last until Thursday.
The Met Office has warned of heavy rain in the south east this afternoon, lasting into Tuesday morning, and said there is a risk of localised flooding.
Then on Wednesday, more heavy rain is expected from midday, with strong winds predicted on Wednesday afternoon.
Wind gusts of 50 to 60mph are expected, although it could reach up to 75mph.
“The public should be aware of the risk of localised disruption to transport and possibly power supplies,” the Met Office said.
Severe weather is expected to last until Thursday.
