Sewing machines stolen in raid

SEWING machines worth several thousand pounds were stolen in a burglary from a sewing machine shop in St Leonards Road.

The burglary happened at some time beween 5pm on Saturday, December 6 and 9am on Monday, December 8. The machines and accessories were stolen, along with tapestry kits.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area over that weekend or who may have been offered Frister & Rossman or Singer sewing machines without control paddles, to contact 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 508 of 06/12.
